It’s been a year of triumph for veteran Wolde-Tsadik Itsweire of the Mexico City Eagles as he hit his way to the 2021 Legends Conference Most Valuable Player Award.
The 32-year-old veteran compiled a .321 average and .437 on-base percentage by putting together 198 hits, 20 doubles, 4 triples, 31 home runs and 122 walks. He also scored 143 times and drove in 98 runs.
“It’s always your goal to be the best at what you do, to be recognized by your peers is amazing!” Said Itsweire.
Jordan Pickens of the Mexico City Eagles finished second in voting, while Cruz Vasquez of the Charm City Jimmies finished third.
