Jose Echeverri took The 108 by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 23.
For his spectacular campaign, the Boston Rebels star has been named the 2021 Immortals Conference Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
“To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming,” said the center fielder.
On the season he compiled a .337 batting average to go with a .379 on-base percentage. The native of Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela also added 34 doubles, 10 triples, 14 home runs, 82 RBIs and 110 runs scored.
Art Goeller of the Minnesota Lake Monsters finished second in voting, while Greg Morales of the Boston Rebels finished third.
Is this the start of a Hall of Fame career? 108 fans will be keeping a close eye on Jose as he moves to the opposing conference for a repeat performance.
